Alternative hip hop artist Mestozi released a new album that he made back in 2020 with an anonymous rapper but never quite finished. Favoring stripped-down lo-fi production, the two artists trade off bars with palpably organic chemistry and conversational flow. The whole album is one track on Bandcamp and everything rolls seamlessly, featuring abstract contemplations that feel like fragments of introspective daydreams. Mestozi brings a tape about the idea of home with “A Light Show.”
