In what may be a first for Milwaukee music, Maalik F is collaborating with AI for a recent single and experiment, “Cream City.” The song features a dystopian sounding beat, where Maalik talks about chasing the money. The hook comes in, though, with an AI voice that sings about hustling to get the paper up, and it works with the feel of the track. Maalik, of course, sounds strong and confident in his performance, but the hook represents what may be the future of collaborations, as rappers will be able to generate their hooks and verses in a way that makes their songs catchy.
