AUDIO: The Shivvers – “My Love Calling” / “Reckless”
Milwaukee pop rock legends The Shivvers pleasantly surprised fans when they released two new singles last month. While two other singles of theirs were released on 7″ earlier this year by Bachelor Archives Records, these latest two tunes are the first to have been recorded in recent years, as singer Jill Kossoris recently told the Shepherd Express. “My Love Calling” is a warm, joyful anthem that reminds you to hold onto love as your guiding light through every storm. “Reckless” is a heartful, piano-driven ode to the simpler days of living life on the edge, carefree and unbothered by taking risks. The Shivvers aren’t quite done getting Milwaukee out dancing yet, and we certainly hope that there’s more where these came from soon – check it out!
