San Francisco-by-way-of-Milwaukee artist Black Thumb released a new album out on Dandy Boy Records a few months back. It’s eleven tracks that incorporate elements of neo-psychedelia, shoegaze and dream pop in a most textural and kaleidoscopic platter. Some songs pick up dust with garage-tinged riffage or stomping rhythms while others slow the current with hazy atmospheres and sentimental lyrics. There’s an accompanying music video for the song “Walk On By” as well. Black Thumb brings a delightfully psychoactive smorgasbord with “The Flying Propeller Group.”
