While we’ve heard his work as a member of duo Rising Suns, Diallo has a solo project out with the recently dropped “Personas.” Stepping out on his own, the project maintains a lot of the ethos that his verses carry as part of the group, with plenty of jazzy production for the emcee to put some stylish raps over. We do get a cameo from Ndiloma on “Last Season,” but the majority of the record is Diallo’s chance to shine on his own. “Personas” feels like a nice compliment to Rising Suns’ work so far, as well as Ndiloma’s solo projects.
