Grieving is never an easy process, and rapper Yella Boy chooses to do so through song on a recent release, “Letter To Mar Mar.” The track is a three minute diary entry, essentially going through the stages of grief in the course of his verses. There’s some disbelief, moments of sympathy, and an attempt to move forward here, but the genuine emotion comes out in Yella’s delivery. He’s not afraid to put looking cool to the side in order to get the real feelings out, and pay tribute to a fallen friend. “Letter To Mar Mar” is a deeply personal release, and you can hear it below.
