There’s nothing polished for pop consumption on King Bando’s “Thought You Knew,” and that’s just the way he likes it. The rapper began the year in a major way, dropping the new project earlier this month. The full-length has ten tracks, many of which have Bando spitting content straight for the streets. Features from BigHomie DreCash, 1Take, Count’up Cash, Lean and Ronski! have Bando rolling deep with similar artists, all of which are quick to bring gritty verses to some bass-heavy beats. “Thought You Knew” has King Bando shining from one end of the project to the other, with a swagger and confidence that he’s perfected over time.
