Alan Ward and Tedy Andreas recently linked up for a joint EP, and they’re comfortably in their own lane with “Vintagious.” The beats here have a tinge of lo-fi warmth to them, and the flows are effortless on these four tracks. Ward’s rap sink comfortably into the reverb, and he rhymes in a way that feels like his voice is just another instrument in the composition. The most stark element of this EP, though, is that it doesn’t sound like Ward is actively trying to do too much on the microphone, showing an overwhelming amount of poise for someone as early in his career as he is. To his credit, he can back that confidence up, with a pure delivery that just feels right when you hear it. Watch for Alan Ward, and check out “Vintagious” below:
