At the beginning of summer, Carti Bankx dropped a new project, and his swagger is turned all the way up on “Prince Of The 4.” Rather than opting for the type beat-heavy production that your run of the mill trap project features, Bankx looks to more pop-oriented sounds, and isn’t afraid of using beats with heavy synths and brighter tones. The charisma is what wins out on this release, though, with Carti sounding confident as ever while he raps about being one of the people to put the city on. Of course, he has to flex on these tracks, but he has the skill to back it up as well. It’s a complete summertime statement from the young rapper, and worthy of several spins.
