There’s a redeeming quality to being humble, and Juxt Dame explores that on his new single with Wisdm Giovanni, “Be The Best Me That I Can Be.” The five-minute track feels like a diary entry, with Dame rapping about the things that he went through growing up to shape his perspective of the world, as well as the troubles that he still deals with, both internal and external. It feels like a freestyle in the truest form, with the beat looping and Juxt Dame given the chance to just vent for a few minutes. That’s an entirely personal sentiment to put out into the world, and for just a few minutes, if you lend him your ear, Dame will tell you where he’s coming from.
