Our Music Director, Ben Slowey, is more than on top of the local music scene. In addition to his work for Breaking And Entering, he also hosts the Mr. Nice Guy podcast, an interview-based show that reaches out to Milwaukeeans for conversations about what motivates them. Many of these shows fittingly involve the local music scene, and we’ll be sharing some of them here as well.
Today, Ben talks to DJ Grand Master O, who brings all kinds of music to the club with his favorites being house and hip hop. He’s co-founder of Digital Crate DJs, who book live entertainment at spots across southeastern Wisconsin. They discussed O’s beginnings DJing from having speakers in his locker in high school, moving from Chicago to Milwaukee, meeting his business partner in a college math class, where you can find Digital Crate DJ shows, and being a jack of all trades.
