Big P and Lik have a new collaborative project out, and it’s full of sentimental stories. “Driveway Dreamers” plays like an ode to the hood, with tales of growing up in Milwaukee and plenty of hyper-local references. With songs about White Dookies and an interlude about Summerfest, the project is special in that it is unique to the city,. The production lends itself to that homegrown feel too, with warm beats and chilled out percussion that sounds like a low-key kickback at the house.
