He talks about working hard to find a way out of the hood, and the work he’s putting in to achieve that goal. There’s a lot to digest in the song, which is accented by a bright acoustic guitar in the production. With a battle background, Bull finds a way to make his bars extra meaningful, and lyrics like “don’t let them turn your small shirt into a tall tee” resonate for people that have lived through the struggle.
