VIDEO: Mr. Nice Guy with Vic Buell

Our Music Director, Ben Slowey, is more than on top of the local music scene. In addition to his work for Breaking And Entering, he also hosts the Mr. Nice Guy podcast, an interview-based show that reaches out to Milwaukeeans for conversations about what motivates them. Many of these shows fittingly involve the local music scene, and we’ll be sharing some of them here as well.

Today, Ben talks to psych rock musician Vic Buell, who makes music under his solo project VBIV and is frontman of Vinz Clortho, as well as guitarist for Astral Hand. His most recent VBIV EP “Fallen Angels” came out in January while Vinz Clortho’s “Fool’s Paradise II” dropped last summer. They discussed Vic’s infiltration into Milwaukee’s music scene via Calliope, why we gravitate towards psychedelic art and music, his new VBIV single “Fun Boy”, what Astral Hand and Vinz Clortho are up to, and how we are all imperfect beings that make mistakes.
