Singer-songwriter Kyle John Kenowski has a new record out this week. He brings an eccentric brand of folk pop that incorporates classical and psychedelic elements. The album feels like an adventure through a whimsical forest of imaginary creatures and enchanted castles. There’s majestic moments but also mysterious ones; Kenowski leads us through his surreal and beautiful exhibition like he is our tour guide. He said on Bandcamp that it took two years to make, and another two years went into the animated video for “Trustwormy” (which is being premiered on Adult Swim). Kyle Kenowski is both arcane and affable in his artistry; if you like your folk and pop experimental, look no further.
