When Melissa Simes isn’t keyboarding in rock band Will Pfrang and the Good Lang Gang, she’s got her own electronic project SSAANN. Her latest tune she made after she lost a friend who had fallen for the conspiracy theory Qanon. It’s an ambient dream pop tune that ascends into a space-y soundscape and then descends back into the abyss, clocking in at just over two minutes. The song structure seems to represent the gradual spiral into Internet hoaxes some unfortunately fall into – Lord, help them. We really like what SSAANN is doing here and look forward to hearing more.
