AUDIO: Paperstacks – “Greedy”

When PaperStacks dropped his first full-length project, “Lil Sum Sum” in 2018, it very much felt like his humble introduction to the brotherhood of the Milwaukee hip hop scene. There were pop elements, and at times, an artist looking to find his voice. A couple years later, the follow up, “Greedy”, features Stacks truly in his own voice, ditching the pop sensibilities for his more defined sound, and the authenticity pays off greatly. The eleven-track effort has a charismatic swagger of its own, very much a reflection of PaperStacks personality, that smoothly floats from start to finish. High spots include “Big Guy III” with Camb and Peez, and the quick hitter “Back For Thirds” near the end of the album. PaperStacks always seems to find a way to increase his potential with each release, and “Greedy” is another promising step forward. Check out the album below:
