While we generally try to stay positive about the city that we call home, there’s no denying that there’s an immense amount of injustice happening here as well. On Milwaukee Day, Tha Crown and Mista Marcus reminded us of that by dropping a new single, “Welcome To My City”. In light of the recent election, as well as a storied history of segregation, the track touches on the things people don’t always talk about when they mention Milwaukee. It’s a reality check for those that view Milwaukee with rose colored glasses, and also a reminder that there are things here we desperately need to change.
