AUDIO: Ray Rizzy – “I Get It Now”
The name Ray Rizzy comes with a storied history in Milwaukee hip hop, with over a decade of experience in the local game and far beyond it. His latest album, “I Get It Now”, came out last Friday, and as the name would suggest, there’s obvious signs of growth throughout the project. The seven song release is primarily left to Rizzy to handle the vocals, though we do get an appearance from Blizz on “Pretty Tony vs. Goldie”, with a back and forth between the two veterans’ lyrical styles. While we do get our share of flexing (see “BBS”), a grown man feel is much appreciated on this project, with more substantial verses from the same rapper that gave us tracks with Juvenile & Lil Jon. “I Get It Now” is definitely essential listening for an artist with a name that commands respect locally.
