AUDIO: Larry Bull – “Black Conscience”

Larry Bull is back with a new project, and knows how to reach people beyond just the musical portion of his latest, “Black Conscience”. Bull connects with his bars, which describe the various aspects of growing up as a black child in Milwaukee, and also gets the opportunity to use his platform to comment on the state of the world and use of black culture. It’s a project that hits just a little deeper than a normal hip hop album would, and that’s aided by Bull’s tone and delivery on the microphone, which many can’t compete with. There’s plenty of (deserved) venting on “Black Conscience”, but there’s also a motivational aspect as well, with tracks like “Ghetto Gospel” and closer “Message For The Youngins”. “Black Conscience” is an album that should be heard by people of all walks of life, and it is definitely one of Larry Bull’s most meaningful works.
