Veteran Milwaukee emcee Twan Mack lives and breathes hip hop, plain and simple. That comes to the forefront on his new single, the Roxanne Shante-inspired “Have A Nice Day”. The track is, in some ways, a reinterpretation of Shante’s classic from her 1989 “Bad Sister” album, but with a 2019 refresh. In fact, the track has earned praise from Shante herself, who heard a snippet of the track on Instagram. Before you think this is a purely nostalgia trip, though, you can hear that Mack has the spirit of hip hop’s foundations, but doesn’t sound dated with the release.
