Backline Announces Spring 2019 Program Participants
Since its inception last year, the Backline program from 88Nine Radio Milwaukee and Gener8or has proven to envigorate the Milwaukee music scene. Last night, the program announced the selected participants of their Spring 2019 program: Klassik, Kaylee Crossfire, and Reyna.
As participants of the program, they’ll be given a $20,000 grant, along with a twelve-week music industry mentorship course. As we’ve seen from the experiences of previous recipients like Zed Kenzo, and Lex Allen, this can be an invigorating boost to their careers.
Over 200 local acts submitted to be part of the Backline program for this edition, and the selected artists were chosen by representatives from Gener8or through a strong vetting process. There will be more editions of Backline in the coming months, with another application window opening in the near future.
