When producer / singer / saxophonist / emcee Klassik announced late last year that he would be recording a live album in November, it was immediately known that the project was going to be something special. On November 16th, he performed at Cactus Club with a band that included duos Nickel&Rose and SistaStrings for a night of reinterpretations, stemming from his recreation of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land”. Part jam session, part remix, this project is Klassik putting his raw talent on display, and he has a plethora of it. If that wasn’t enough, we know that Klassik has another album coming this year, but make sure you take time to enjoy “American Klassiks” below:
