If you’re looking for some Fallback Friday jams, which actually aren’t a fallback at all, French synthwave artist SilverHawk has you covered with his newest release on Milwaukee based electronic label Nice FM. “Back To 80’s (Best Of)” takes the elements of 80’s dance music and gives it a facelift, with an energetic mix of hard hitting 808’s and glossy synths. The release sounds dated (intentionally, of course), but also does feature some energetic, intricate production as well. A plethora of tightly woven percussion and overlapping midi lines make this an intense homage to the decade of excess, while still having some appeal to this generation of electronic music fans.
