Never underestimate Taiyamo Denku’s ability to deliver gritty, lyrical hip hop that could make even the most stubborn heads nod along to the track. That’s the case with his latest collaboration, “Been There”, featuring Rambunxious, Solomon Childs & The Genius. Anchored by a melodic hook from The Genius, which is a rarity for Denku tracks, the track features Rambunxious, Solomon Childs, and Denku spitting tough bars over dark production from Australian producer Dcypha. While this could play like a posse cut, the track gives ample space for each emcee to get their flows off with a full showcase of their abilities. 2018 was one of Taiyamo Denku’s strongest years yet, and you have to believe that the momentum will carry over into next year.
