While many artists are trying to sound as hard as possible, Wisconsin artist Echo and Chicago artist Qari take a different approach on their new single, “Toffee”. Featuring jazzy, smoothed out self-production from Echo, the song has a bit of soul to it, in both the sample used and the verses from both artists, respectively. Lyrically, the song is a reflective track that plays like an introduction to both artists. The single is from Echo’s upcoming new mixtape, set to drop this Friday.
