At this point, King Cezar is a veteran of the Milwaukee music scene. In the time since we’ve first heard about the local artist, his sound has evolved with every release that he’s put out. The latest from Cezar is “It’s Better This Way”, a very dynamic, complete album showcasing the different sides of the man that makes the album. With production from a variety of local standouts, including DJ Pain 1 and Canis Major, the beat selection on this project is stellar, and King Cezar provides a natural delivery over the top, which he’s had since his earliest work. While the project starts with more low-key tracks like “Say Something” and “Elevate”, the energy picks up on the back half of the record, with tracks like “From The Jump” and “Traffic”.
