It’s been a little bit since we’ve heard anything new from Rusty Pelicans. The group has kept their name up, performing regularly since the release of their “Apartment 7” project, but the Tuesday addition of new track “Innersection” is a welcome sight. Produced by Charley Cooks, the track features some spacy production, plenty of bass, a chopped up Digital Underground sample, and the P’s filling in just about any gap in the beat that they can with their flows. With Uni-Fi Records going through a transformation of their own, and one of their flagship acts putting out new content, the future is looking bright for both the label and Rusty Pelicans.
