There’s something to be said for having fun making music, especially in a genre obsessed with image. The latest video from Milwaukee duo Lik and Shai is just plain fun hip hop, pure and simple. With a hook giving a nod to the late Bay Area artist Mac Dre, “Midwest Connection” isn’t necessarily concerned with looking the toughest or having the most anything, but rather just focused on making enjoyable music. The video, shot by Optic Legacy, embodies that fun spirit as well. This is a really promising start for a young duo, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll do in the future.
