While the North Side underground hip hop scene is thriving right now, the argument can be made that a lot of the music has essentially the same sound to it. However, when an artist can put any sort of variation on that sound, it’s a welcome change. Such is the case for the latest track from JSmoove & Munch Lauren, “Elevator Music”. While not necessarily the biggest jump sonically, the two artists combine for a chilled out take on jack music, with each other’s own unique brand of lyrically flexing. In the video, we see both artists doing something just a little different, too, trading in hip hop norms for golf carts and you may even spot a flip phone if you’re watching carefully.
