It’s smooth, funky, and authentically hip hop. The latest from AR Wesley, “Traffic Jam” is a master class in stylish hip hop, and the Milwaukee emcee does it exceptionally well. With the mainstream being so heavily influenced by trap music right now, it’s refreshing to hear somebody creating music of a different vein and doing it well. From the shimmering accents, to the vintage feel of the organ notes on the production, the track comes together around the AR’s verses, which also have the delivery that puts the song over the top.
