Jay Matthes is gearing up for the release of his new album, “Dancing After Dark”, which comes out this Friday. In addition to an album release show on Thursday at Club Garibaldi, he also released the first single from the album yesterday, entitled “Bees and Chickens”. The song is full of down-home country twang, and could easily cut it’s way through the pop-country clutter on mainstream radio. “Dancing In The Dark” is Matthes’ first album in almost three years, and it’s clear that he’s taken his time with crafting an album full of well-written songs like this one.
