The south side of Milwaukee is often underrepresented when it comes to the conversation about local hip hop. However, there are a solid group of artists looking to make a name for themselves on the South Side, and newcomers SouthSide Trappin Ent. are ready to throw their name into that mix. Their debut single, “Brett Favre”, features a bass-heavy trap beat from Spanish producer AMBeats, and SST rappers Prince Preach and Peso G lend verses to this one. While the track is a little rough around the edges, it’s definitely a strong start for the group, and there’s potential for the collective to put the South Side on the map.
