AUDIO: Maxwel – “Right Now” & “Stack My Bread Up (Featuring Jugo)”

Over the weekend, Maxwel released the equivalent of a 7″ single, with a pair of new tracks. The first of these two tracks is “Right Now”, a laid back track about taking time for yourself. It’s more of a personal song than we’re used to from Maxwel, but it’s a very relatable track, as well. The feel of the song is dictated by producer Lafayette Ellis, who keeps things spacy with echo-accented keys.

The second track released brings the energy up, with a feature from Jugo on “Stack My Bread Up”. Produced by Gum$, this is more of a track to bounce along to. As much as “Right Now” is introspective, “Stack My Bread Up” is equally as outspoken, as Maxwel flexs just a little bit with his verse. The duality of the tracks is a welcome growth for the Milwaukee emcee, and in both tracks, he keeps things overwhelmingly positive.
