We thought it was going to be a relatively low-key Monday for local music, but then Strehlow and Chris Siegel’s remix of Ian Ewing’s “This Is How” featuring Klassik dropped, and frankly, we’re not worthy. The track is a spacy, midtempo banger (if that’s a thing), complete with elements of electro, house, and hip hop all in one. With a hook that almost demanded being sampled, the remix does just that, complete with breathy synths, glistening percussion, and oh yeah, Klassik spazzing out on his verse, too. This feels like where some of the best Milwaukee music is headed, and that’s perfectly fine if it’s the case. Listen to the “This Is How” remix below:
