AUDIO: A$AP Rocky Featuring Rod Stewart, Miguel, and Mark Ronson – “Everyday”

Look… I have a confession to make, and it’s not a cool one by any means. I grew up on (and still am cool listening to) Rod Stewart. I’ve been to multiple concerts, and he was actually my first concert when I was seven years old. We were in the third row at the Bradley Center. There’s pictures somewhere. So, now that that’s out in the open, when I saw “A$AP Rocky Featuring Rod Stewart” on the internets, I immediately had to at least give it a spin. I mean, I couldn’t just let that one slide, right?

To my surprise, “Everyday” is actually done very well. It’s not really a feature from Rod Stewart, but rather a sample of “In A Broken Dream”. Mark Ronson does a stellar job producing the track, and Miguel does the sample justice by using it as the hook. Then it gets the trap treatment towards the end, but all in all, it’s A$AP Rocky.
