AUDIO: GGOOLLDD – “Here We Are”

After plenty of anticipation, GGOOLLDD’s debut full length album, “Here We Are”, is out today. Milwaukee’s indie pop darlings return with nine tracks this time around, including previously released singles “Success!”, “Welcome To My House”, and “Money”. Those tracks lead off the album, and the new material that follows are truly where the band gets to hit their stride creatively, which you hear as soon as the uptempo beginning of “Whos’s Girl Is That?” kicks in. From party-ready jams to retro feeling ballads, hearing the band in the context of a full-length album is the first real chance to showcase a wider range of songwriting. As we heard on the singles from this project, much of the album bodes well for a live setting, which we’ll get to experience when the band celebrates the release of the album next month at Turner Hall Ballroom. Indie pop act GGOOLLDD are back with their second single of 2020, with just two weeks until the release of their upcoming full-length “Here We Are”. “Money” is a brooding track, led by a buzzy bassline and very full sounding kick drums. Much like the track that came out before it, “Welcome To My House”, this is a song that feels like it will play well live, building with intensity as it goes. You can celebrate the release of “Here We Are” with the band at Turner Hall Ballroom on March 27th, and look for it to drop on Valentine’s Day. Get another preview of the record with “Money” below:

2019 was a quieter year for indie pop group GGOOLLDD, who only put out one single, “Success” through the course of the year. However, 2020 is looking promising for the band, as a new single, “Welcome To My House” is out today. In addition to that, the band recently announced that a new album, “Here We Are”, is due out on Valentine’s Day. More than anything, the track is rejuvenating for the band, who are in top form on the new track. The song feels like it translates to a live room well, which is fortunate, because GGOOLLDD also has a March 27th date lined up at Turner Hall Ballroom. Check out the brand new single here.
