VIDEO: Cullah – “I See”

Cullah had one of the most interesting projects of 2018 with his April album, “Cullahsus”. The album combined several genres, sounds, and styles to form a patchwork of creativity, and that doesn’t stop with just the audio from the record. Recently, Cullah expanded on that initial work with the video for “I See”, featuring animation from MIAD student Marci Klugliewicz. The visual component to an already strong song from Cullah is top-notch, and the whole package compliments the storytelling within the song. It’s a great way to cap off an already impressive year for Cullah, and definitely a stong video from a new talent located within the city, as well. Check out the video for “I See” below:

VIDEO: Cullah – “Helios 3”

Milwaukee artist Cullah makes music that can only be described as eclectic. His latest, “Helios 3”, is a mixture of elements of indie rock, downtempo hip hop, progressive music, and electronica, all wrapped up into one. It really does feel as though it was music that crash landed from some other planet. To match that feel, the video from director Cameron Wolfe and featuring UWM dancer Kelsey Lee is interpretive, artistic, and still maintains that other-worldly feel. The track comes from Cullah’s “Cullahsus” project, which was released earlier this year. Watch the video for “Helios 3” below:

An artist creating his or her own lane is always a welcome site, and Milwaukee artist Cullah is doing just that with his new album, “Cullahsus”. Mixing elements of funk, indie, and hip hop together, this is definitely an album that goes beyond a genre or era. With over 12 years of releasing albums under his belt, Cullah has taken the time to master his sound and style, creating something uniquely his own. You can see him live in the near future, as well, opening for D’Amato on Friday night at Company Brewing, as well as an opening gig for Arts Fishing Club at Shank Hall in June.
