Tucker Wetmore Keeps the Hot Streak Rolling with Breezy New Single “Who Told You That”

Tucker Wetmore is making sure the summer doesn’t end without one more sun-drenched soundtrack. The ACM New Male Artist of the Year has officially dropped “Who Told You That,” a breezy new single out now via Back Blocks Music/MCA/Mercury Records, and it might just be the most charming thing he’s released yet.

Riding a groovy, laid-back country rhythm, “Who Told You That” finds Wetmore drawing a hard line between reputation and reality. The track plays like an easygoing rebuttal to small-town gossip — a flirtatious promise that whatever she’s heard about him, the truth is a whole lot more interesting. Light on its feet but genuinely sincere, it’s the kind of song built for rolled-down windows and long drives into golden hour.

Penned by a heavy-hitting writers’ room of Jordan Schmidt, Ashley Gorley, Hunter Phelps, and Michael Tyler, the single keeps Wetmore’s hot streak rolling. It follows March’s “Sunburn,” which The New York Times’ Popcast crowned their Song of the Week, calling it his “second excellent single in a row.” Three for three, anyone?

The release lands in the middle of what can only be described as a career-defining year. Wetmore recently made his Nissan Stadium debut at CMA Fest, was named Billboard’s Country Rising Star at the 2026 Country Power Players, and notched his third consecutive No. 1 with “Brunette” — a track that has already racked up more than 330 million global streams. Oh, and he took home New Male Artist of the Year at the 61st ACM Awards, where he delivered an electric performance of that same chart-topper.

After wrapping a sold-out first leg of The Brunette World Tour, presented by NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer, with a stop in London this spring, Wetmore has been out on HARDY’s Country! Country! Country! Tour and now picks the second leg of his own headline run back up this month. Come September, he’ll link up with Brooks & Dunn for select dates, including a marquee stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on September 12.

With his debut album What Not To already in the books as the biggest country album debut from a new artist of 2025, and more than 2.4 billion global career streams to his name, Wetmore isn’t so much rising as he is already arrived. “Who Told You That” is just the latest proof that the hype is real — and this time, you can tell the whole town yourself.
