More than two decades after “In the Shadows” first crept into the collective consciousness of every early-2000s alt-rock kid with an AIM screen name, The Rasmus are finally — finally — giving North America the headline tour it has been begging for. The Finnish quartet has officially announced their first-ever headline run of the U.S. and Canada, a 26-date trek that kicks off September 6 at Chicago’s Bottom Lounge and wraps October 12 at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles.

Fronted by Lauri Ylönen, with Eero Heinonen on bass, Emilia “Emppu” Suhonen on guitar, and Aki Hakala on drums, the band is riding a wave of momentum after their Spring 2026 support run with The HU. Now they’re stepping into the headline spotlight with fellow rockers Saint Agnes and Death Valley Dreams along for the ride — a stacked bill that pretty much guarantees a sweaty, cathartic night out no matter which city you catch it in.

“It feels surreal that after all these years, we finally get to play our first ever headline tour in the U.S.,” Ylönen shared in the announcement. “We have super devoted fans who some have been waiting over 20 years to see us live. These shows will be loaded with emotion and fierce energy.”

The tour hits a mix of intimate clubs and larger rooms across the continent — from The Opera House in Toronto and Racket in NYC, to Union Transfer in Philly, The Machine Shop in Flint, and a festival stop at Louder Than Life in Louisville. Texas gets a proper four-night run, the West Coast gets its due through Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, and San Diego, and it all crescendos in L.A. North America is just the opening act, though. After the U.S. leg wraps, the band heads south for a headline run through Latin America — hitting Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina — before launching a massive European headline tour that runs from January 28 through March 20, 2027.
