The Philadelphia DIY supergroup made up of Douglas Dulgarian (They Are Gutting A Body of Water), Scott Turner (Hooky), and Sam Silbert (Hooky, circle of fire) is back, and their new record has a release date attached to it.

Today, the trio announced their sophomore album, molly picture, arriving August 7, 2026 via Julia’s War Recordings — the community-minded Philly label Dulgarian founded in 2021. To mark the occasion, they’ve dropped a double single, “mickey don’t pose” and “new deal,” offering the first taste of the record’s electronic-tinted, gently haunted world.

God of War made their debut in 2023 with serotonin, a record that captured the peculiar dissociative flow-state of getting lost in a video game or a skate part. molly picture pushes further into that territory — layering droning metallics, twisted riffs, Nintendo-adjacent bleeps, and unfairly sturdy pop songcraft under a familiar blanket of melancholy.
