Hollywood Vampires Announce Live Album “At Montreux Jazz Festival,” Share Blistering “Raise The Dead” Video

Some bands chase trends. The Hollywood Vampires raise the dead.

The rock supergroup — Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen — have announced a new live album, “At Montreux Jazz Festival,” capturing their thunderous 2018 performance at one of the most storied stages in music. The album arrives digitally on August 7 and lands on CD and vinyl October 16 via earMUSIC. Pre-orders are live now.

To mark the announcement, the Vampires have unleashed the first taste from the record: a live video for “Raise The Dead” that bottles up every ounce of the swagger, smoke, and shared history these four musicians bring to a stage. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qWSyJIU42A

The 19-track set is a love letter to the fallen heroes of rock ‘n’ roll and a reminder that the Vampires are far more than a novelty. Highlights include a first-time-released cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” as a tribute to the late Lemmy Kilmister, along with career-spanning takes on The Doors’ “Five to One/Break on Through,” AC/DC’s “The Jack,” The Who’s “Baba O’Riley,” David Bowie’s “Heroes,” and a raucous “School’s Out/Another Brick in the Wall” mashup that only Alice Cooper could pull off with a straight face.

Recorded during a legendary night in Montreux, the album leans hard into what makes the Vampires special: reverence dressed up in leather and eyeliner. It’s part wake, part victory lap, and entirely devoted to the era of excess that shaped every player onstage. Since forming in 2015, the band has evolved from an all-star covers project into a genuine creative force, releasing 2019’s original LP “Rise” and racking up millions of streams and sold-out festival slots along the way.

“At Montreux Jazz Festival” will be available as a 2 CD Digisleeve and a 3 LP Gatefold pressed on 180g black vinyl.

The Vampires are also hitting the road hard behind the release, launching an extensive European tour on August 12 in London and winding through the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland through September 10 in Łódź.
