Los Angeles avant-grind extremists SQUID PISSER — the brainchild of Tommy Meehan (aka Grodius Maximus of GWAR) — have officially announced their long-awaited new full-length EP, “Throat Slave,” landing August 28th, 2026 via SKiN GRAFT Records and SWEATBAND Records. To mark the announcement, the band has released the fear-fraught lead single “Mucus,” complete with an accompanying official music video that is every bit as unhinged as you’d hope.

Following 2024’s already-notorious “Dreams of Puke,” “Throat Slave” pushes the band into stranger, darker territory — five original songs, six demented remixes and a foreboding preface that collectively drag SQUID PISSER’s slime-drenched universe further into the abyss. It’s also the first record to prominently feature guitarists Michael Armendariz and Raz Azraai, who join founder Meehan and Starcrawler’s Seth Carolina to form the most fully-realized version of the band to date.

Side A moves through five compositions steeped in paranoia, confrontation, self-examination and release. Beneath the recurring imagery of vermin, tumors, leeches and bodily decay lies a more universal struggle — reclaiming identity from manipulation, illusion, and the stories imposed by others. If Side A documents the organism, Side B documents its mutation: remix artists including queer-cult icon PLACK BLAGUE, minimalistic noise-pop duo HYPER GAL, DRUMCORPS, FARTBARF, Ecology: HomeStones, dj Embryonic Petit Sac and ZENI GEVA’s KK NULL (with an exclusive CD-only track) tear the original songs apart and rebuild them as electronic hallucinations, industrial rituals, mutant dance music and psychedelic fever dreams. Rather than glorified bonus material, the remixes function as a full second act.

Wrapped in the luminous, deeply unsettling artwork of Bora Murmure, “Throat Slave” occupies a space somewhere between nightmare and revelation — beautiful, disturbing, and impossible to fully explain.

SQUID PISSER are also spending most of 2026 on the road. Their Internal Violence Tour is currently wrapping up, and the Tumors Across America Tour rolls from August 19th through September 13th, hitting Long Beach, Sacramento, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Asheville, Philadelphia, Chicago and beyond. This October, the band will support The Dillinger Escape Plan on select West Coast dates in Portland, Vancouver and Seattle.
