Jo Dee Messina is not slowing down — and frankly, why should she? The country powerhouse behind nine No. 1 hits and 16 Top 40 singles has just unveiled the official music video for “Message in a Bottle,” the focus single from her deeply personal new album, Bridges, out now.

Directed by Ford Fairchild, the video premieres today on YouTube and arrives just as the track heads to country radio this weekend. It’s a moody, atmospheric visual that lets the song’s emotional weight breathe — helped along, in no small way, by a guest appearance from blues legend Keb’ Mo’, whose slide guitar work threads through the track like smoke curling off a back-porch amp.

“Keb’ Mo’ is one of the kindest, most talented people I have met in this industry,” Messina says. “I’m so blessed he agreed to be a part of ‘Message in a Bottle.’ His guitar parts are smoking.”
