Daisychain Unleash Grungy Summer Scorcher “Yeah” — Chicago Psych Rock Trio Announce Midwest & East Coast Tour
Chicago’s own psych rock trio Daisychain are back and swinging with “Yeah,” a grungy, guitar-drenched summer scorcher that proves the band hasn’t lost an ounce of the fuzz-fueled swagger that made their 2025 debut such a critical darling. It’s their first single since All In A Name, and it lands with the kind of confident, sun-baked snarl you’d expect from three friends who’ve spent the better part of a year sharpening their edges on the road.
Produced, mixed and mastered by acclaimed Chicago multi-instrumentalist Noam Wallenberg (Vulfpeck, A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller), “Yeah” is a tongue-in-cheek anthem about holding onto good energy when the world insists on being heavy. Rhythm guitarist and vocalist Sophia Williams put it plainly: “It’s a free-flowing tune that still holds grit, perfect for airing your sh*t out.” Mission accomplished. The track leans into 70s classic rock textures while dragging them into the present with grunge grease under the nails, dual vocal muscle from Williams and bassist Nickole Regala, and lead guitarist Frankie Sripada carving out riffs that feel equal parts Patti Smith cool and PJ Harvey menace.

The single arrives on the heels of a Jam In The Van live session that captures exactly why Daisychain have earned a reputation as one of the Midwest’s most electric live acts. Since dropping All In A Name last summer — produced by the legendary Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Prince) — the trio has barely stopped moving, notching relentless U.S. runs, a European debut and stages at Chicago’s storied Metro.
They’re not slowing down anytime soon. Daisychain hit the road again this summer and fall, with a Midwest run kicking off in late July and an East Coast leg rolling through September.
