Fresh off his ACM “Album of the Year” win, Parker McCollum just dropped something that country traditionalists and new-school fans can raise a glass to together: a duet version of his current hit single “Killin’ Me,” this time featuring genuine country royalty, Lee Ann Womack. The reimagined track is out now via MCA, and it might just be the most quietly devastating three-and-change minutes you’ll hear all year.

The original — a smoky, seductive slow-burn co-written by McCollum, Monty Criswell, and Randy Rogers — already sits as one of the standout moments on his self-titled, ACM-crowned record PARKER MCCOLLUM. Adding Womack’s unmistakable ache to the mix doesn’t just elevate the song; it gives it a whole new emotional weight class. Two voices, one heartbreak, zero wasted notes.

For McCollum, the collaboration is about as full-circle as it gets. The first song he ever learned on guitar was a Chris Knight record produced by Frank Liddell — Womack’s husband. Liddell went on to co-produce the PARKER MCCOLLUM album alongside Eric Masse. Womack and her daughter Aubrie Sellers laid down backing vocals on that record, while her youngest daughter, Anna Lise, served as assistant engineer. Basically, the Womack-Liddell family tree is stitched right into the DNA of this album.

“She’s literally country music royalty y’all… this is a huge deal,” McCollum said. “Couldn’t be more grateful to have Lee Ann Womack on this song with me.”

Fans got their first taste of the pairing when the two debuted the duet live on stage at the 61st ACM Awards in Las Vegas back in May. The chemistry was undeniable then, and the studio version only sharpens it — Womack’s phrasing curling around McCollum’s Texas drawl like smoke off a whiskey glass.

The duet drop caps off a monster stretch for McCollum. His self-titled fifth studio album took home ACM Album of the Year (his first nomination and win in the category), and the deluxe edition landed in March 2026 with four additional tracks, including the fan-favorite “Big Ole Fancy House.” He’s currently barreling across the country on his revamped PARKER MCCOLLUM Tour, with Aubrie Sellers along for the ride on backing vocals.
