Five Finger Death Punch Announce 10th Album ‘Legacy,’ Drop New Single “De Oppresso Liber”

Twenty years in, Five Finger Death Punch aren’t slowing down — they’re doubling down. The multi-platinum Las Vegas hard rock juggernauts just announced their tenth studio album, Legacy, and dropped a punishing new single, “De Oppresso Liber,” to mark the occasion. Consider this your official notice: 5FDP’s next chapter is here, and it hits like a battering ram.

Legacy arrives digitally on July 31, with CD, vinyl, and cassette editions following on September 18. The record is the band’s proper reflection on two decades of chart-topping mayhem, arena-sized anthems, and one of the most rabid fanbases in modern rock. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory summed up the mission simply: “Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests. It’s a reflection on the journey, the lessons, the victories, the struggles, and everything we’ve experienced over the last two decades.”

Vocalist Ivan Moody was quick to point out this isn’t a farewell lap. “Legacy isn’t about looking backward. 20 years is a milestone, not a destination. We’re incredibly proud of this record because it captures everything people love about Five Finger Death Punch while also pointing toward where we’re headed next.”

The just-released single “De Oppresso Liber” — Latin for “to free the oppressed” and the motto of the U.S. Army Special Forces — is peak 5FDP: brutal riffs, a bulldozing groove, and Moody’s signature blend of aggression and melody. “It’s a calling. It’s a philosophy,” Bathory explained. “It represents a willingness to stand between danger and those who cannot defend themselves.” Stream the full album pre-save and hear what’s coming here: https://open.spotify.com/album/6TreEbRihAZGSYDpoDW8jg

The track follows lead single “Eye Of The Storm,” which is already Top 5 at Rock Radio, has racked up more than 3.9 million Spotify streams and 1.6 million YouTube views, and earned praise from Revolver (“Huge”) and Loudwire (“a driving, furious banger”).

To celebrate the milestone, 5FDP launch their 20TH ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR this summer. The 48-city North American leg — produced by Live Nation and featuring special guest Cody Jinks along with Eva Under Fire — kicks off Monday, July 20 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, NJ, and wraps October 23 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. The band then heads to the UK and Europe in early 2027 with Lamb Of God and Bleed From Within, kicking off January 16 in Manchester and closing February 22 in Helsinki.

True to form, the band is turning the tour into more than just a victory lap. A portion of ticket sales from the 2026 North American run will benefit high-performance programs for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes preparing for the LA28 Games — continuing 5FDP’s long-standing tradition of channeling their platform into charitable impact.

Whether you’ve been headbanging since The Way Of The Fist dropped in 2007 or you’re just now discovering why 5FDP have logged 13 consecutive #1s on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, Legacy is shaping up to be the definitive statement of where this band has been — and a loud, unmistakable signal of where they’re going next.
