Twenty-two years after Gretchen Wilson kicked down the doors of Nashville with a debut album that shattered sales records and made “Redneck Woman” a household phrase, the country trailblazer is back to remind everyone exactly who threw the party in the first place. On Friday, June 26, Wilson will release a brand-new version of her signature title track, “Here For The Party,” this time joined by one of country’s most magnetic new voices, Ella Langley. The single drops via Redneck Records in a new partnership with Thirty Tigers, and it’s the first taste of a full-album reimagining set to arrive in early 2027.

If you caught CMA Fest earlier this month, you already know this pairing is a certified rowdy good time. Wilson and Langley tore up the Nissan Stadium stage together, and the chemistry between the two — one a hall-of-fame-caliber hell-raiser, the other a Platinum-selling, No. 1-debuting force of nature — was undeniable. It wasn’t the first time the two had traded verses on the track, either. They initially joined forces last November at Langley’s sold-out Ryman Auditorium show, a moment that clearly planted the seed for this collaboration.

“When I started thinking about who to ask to sing on this track, Ella was my first and only choice,” Wilson said. “I’ve been following her almost from day one, and her story, her music, and her sass remind me so much of myself when my own career took off. And we had a blast performing it together at CMA Fest!”

For Langley, the collaboration is a full-circle moment. “Gretchen is a hero of mine, and I have played ‘Here for the Party’ in every show my whole life,” she said. “Performing the song live with her has been wild to experience, and it’s an honor to be a part of this album.”

The original “Here For The Party,” co-written by Wilson with her Muzik Mafia running mates John Rich and Big Kenny, dropped July 1, 2004, and quickly became her second No. 1 smash on the heels of “Redneck Woman.” The parent album, released May 11, 2004, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, hit No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200, and set the record for the highest first-week sales from a debut album by a country artist. It also delivered top-five singles “When I Think About Cheatin'” and “Homewrecker” — an absolute cannon of a track listing that Wilson is now revisiting one guest at a time.

The re-recorded Here For The Party will feature a special guest on every song, with singles rolling out throughout the coming months ahead of the full duets album in early 2027. If Langley’s turn on the title cut is any indication, this is shaping up to be one of the most fun country projects on the horizon.

Wilson has had a banner 2026 to say the least. Fresh off winning Season 13 of The Masked Singer and appearing as tour manager on the Taylor Sheridan / Blake Shelton / Keith Urban-produced CBS series THE ROAD, she launched the “Still Here for the Party” Tour earlier this year, proving her voice, grit, and swagger haven’t lost a step. With more than eight million records sold and a mantel full of GRAMMY, CMA, ACM, CMT, AMA, and Billboard Music Award hardware, she’s not chasing a comeback — she’s leading a victory lap.

Langley, for her part, is riding one of the hottest streaks in country music. Her Platinum sophomore album Dandelion — executive produced alongside Miranda Lambert and Ben West — debuted at No. 1 and spun off the 4X Platinum, chart-topping “Choosin’ Texas” and the Platinum “Be Her.” Pairing her with Wilson on a song about unapologetically showing up loud and proud? That’s just good matchmaking.
