Twenty-two years after Gretchen Wilson kicked down the door of country music with her debut album Here For The Party, the redneck woman herself is back to remind everyone exactly who threw the party in the first place — and she brought a friend.

On Friday, June 26, Gretchen will drop a brand-new version of the title track “Here For The Party,” this time featuring award-winning country firecracker Ella Langley. The single, out via Redneck Records in a new partnership with Thirty Tigers, is the first taste of Gretchen’s fully re-recorded debut album, which will land in early 2027 with a special guest featured on every song.

If you caught CMA Fest earlier this month, you already know these two don’t just sing this song — they own it. Gretchen and Ella tore the roof off Nissan Stadium with the tune, extending a partnership that first sparked at Ella’s sold-out Ryman Auditorium show last November.

“When I started thinking about who to ask to sing on this track, Ella was my first and only choice,” Gretchen said. “I’ve been following her almost from day one, and her story, her music, and her sass remind me so much of myself when my own career took off. And we had a blast performing it together at CMA Fest!”

For Langley — who has been racking up platinum plaques of her own with hits like “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her” off her chart-topping sophomore album Dandelion — the collab is a full-circle moment.

“Gretchen is a hero of mine, and I have played ‘Here for the Party’ in every show my whole life,” said Ella. “Performing the song live with her has been wild to experience, and it’s an honor to be a part of this album.”

A Little History for the Newcomers

Written by Gretchen alongside her Muzik Mafia running buddies John Rich and Big Kenny, “Here For The Party” first hit the airwaves on July 1, 2004, and quickly became her second No. 1 smash after the game-changing “Redneck Woman.” The original Here For The Party album, released May 11, 2004, shattered the record for the highest first-week sales from a debut country album, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200. It also spawned top-five hits “When I Think About Cheatin'” and “Homewrecker.”

Still Here, Still Rowdy

Gretchen has had one heck of a 2026. Beyond hitting the road on her “Still Here for the Party” Tour, she took home the crown on Season 13 of The Masked Singer and served as tour manager on the Taylor Sheridan, Blake Shelton, and Keith Urban-produced CBS series THE ROAD. With more than eight million records sold and hardware from the CMAs, ACMs, CMTs, AMAs, Billboard Music Awards, and a GRAMMY to her name, she’s proving the party never really stopped — the rest of us just needed to catch up.
