Upstate New York’s underground is about to combust. Endless Fires Fest, the multi-day summer throwdown taking over Sharkeys Event Center in Syracuse, New York on August 15 and 16, has just dropped its final wave of bands — and the bill is stacked deep enough to make any hardcore, metal, or punk lifer clear their calendar immediately.

Newly added to the lineup are Boundaries, Bleeding Through, Emmure, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, On Broken Wings, Kent Osborne, Fatal Realm, Invocation Of Nehek, Two Piece, and Unconquered, plus a healthy dose of local firestarters keeping the Syracuse scene loud. They join a previously announced roster that reads like a genre-hopping fever dream: Three 6 Mafia, Circle Jerks, GWAR, American Nightmare, Comeback Kid, E-Town Concrete, Madball, and more.

Festival founder Keith Allen framed the weekend as more than just a lineup — it’s a resurrection. “Endless Fires is both a return and a rebirth,” Allen said. “It is a celebration of the underground music scene based in upstate NY, and centered in Syracuse, in the form of a multi-day, summertime festival. Years ago, we had such a fest that was the highlight for a thriving hardcore, metal and punk rock music scene. Often imitated but never recreated, the lore and the legacy of that fest are infamous. Here we are, some decades later, rekindling the flame and bringing back that tradition. The fire has never gone out and now it’s going to burn brighter than ever before.”

Organizers have also teased an August 14 pre-party, with details still to come. Between the pre-party rumblings and a lineup that spans Memphis rap royalty, LA punk legends, shock-rock icons, and a who’s-who of East Coast hardcore, this feels less like a festival and more like a full-blown pilgrimage for anyone who came up on basement shows and VFW halls.
